First weeks of high school

My first weeks of school were like experiencing Cedar Point all over again. It is like going on a new ride because you don't know what to expect. They had their ups and their downs and those downs were enough to make me hurl. My first week of high school was basically focused on my first day of high school because that is when my braces broke. My first week (first day) of high school was going well up until lunch. This is when I get to the top of the ride because my braces break.

I was eating my lunch, which was a turkey sandwich, peaches and a can of root beer. I remember my mom's voice saying, " Eat slow and take small bites." I think nothing of it and I continue to eat my lunch.I realize that I should have listened to my mom because I feel this brace that is not where it is supposed should be. I play with it a little bit and I still can't identify what and where it is.

When I get home I use the little mirror that the orthodontist gave me to see what had broke. I notice that it is a wire that is in the back of the mouth and I decide to tell my mom after dinner because that is when braces broke, during dinner.

When I tell my mom she starts to yell at me because I didn't tell her sooner. We argue a little bit and then she makes an appointment for Thursday. I release all my stress like a balloon releases air when you let go of it.

The first week of school goes by fast, my tension is released, my braces get fixed, I get off the ride and the thought of expecting the unexpected is over. I think to myself, what could be worse than my braces breaking. I ponder that thought for a few seconds and I realize that nothing can be worse than my braces breaking. Starting Monday of the next week, I can focus all the parts my brain on school and the work the teachers will bring to the classroom.

I realize that something can be worse than a wire breaking. The start of the next week, a brace gets loose on my tooth. This time I decide to tell my mom right away. I am still thinking to myself that I shouldn't tell her. I decide to tell her and my mom doesn't yell.

This is when I start to think that High School is bad luck. My braces broke twice and my glasses break. It doesn't really matter that my glasses broke because I need a new pair of glasse with better magnification. I am scarred about what will happen next week.
